How ToolnixHub updates exchange rates

The converter requests rates through ToolnixHub's own protected read-only endpoint. The server checks a short cache first and refreshes data from configured reference-rate services when needed. Third-party rate endpoints are never called directly from the visitor browser.

Fresh-rate path

Successful rate data is cached briefly to improve speed and reduce unnecessary upstream requests. The public result shows the rate date and the time ToolnixHub checked it without exposing internal provider details.

Fallback protection

If the normal rate path is temporarily unavailable, ToolnixHub can use a separately configured reference-rate fallback rather than fabricate a value.

Temporary outage protection

If live retrieval fails, a recently cached rate may be shown for a limited period. When that happens, the result is visibly labelled as a last-known cached rate so an older value is not presented as fresh.

Why Google, banks and ToolnixHub can show different numbers

Google Finance states that global currency prices are provided by Morningstar and lists a three-minute delay for currency data. Google also warns users to confirm exchange rates before transactions. ToolnixHub is independent from Google and does not copy or scrape Google Finance data, so the displayed reference rate can differ slightly even when both are functioning correctly.

Banks, card networks, remittance companies and cash dealers can differ even more because they may add a spread to a market or reference rate and may charge separate fees. A useful comparison therefore needs both the exchange rate and the total fee.

Exchange-rate FAQ

Are ToolnixHub currency rates the same as Google?

Not necessarily. Google Finance says its currency prices are provided by Morningstar and may be delayed. ToolnixHub does not scrape or redistribute Google Finance data; it uses a separate server-side reference-rate workflow, so small differences are normal.

How often does the ToolnixHub Currency Converter update?

ToolnixHub refreshes its configured reference-rate data regularly and keeps a short server cache to reduce unnecessary requests. The result shows the rate date and the time ToolnixHub last checked it.

Why is my bank, card or money-transfer rate different?

Online reference rates do not include every provider spread, transfer fee, cash handling charge or card markup. Use the converter for comparison and verify the final rate with the service that will execute the transaction.

Does this converter support Pakistani Rupees?

Yes. PKR is included alongside USD, EUR, GBP, AED, SAR, INR, CAD, AUD, JPY and many other currencies. Availability still depends on the configured reference-rate coverage.

Can I use the result for accounting or a legal transaction?

Use it as an indicative reference only. For tax, accounting, contractual or regulated reporting, use the rate required by the relevant authority, bank, contract or accounting policy for the required date.
